NORTH WEST CANADA 1885, CLASP, SASKATCHEWAN ‘PTE J.E.FRY A"MID. BATT.’
John Emerson Fry served as a Private in the Midland Battalion during the operations to suppress Louis Riel’s Second Rebellion, 1885. All members of the Militia forces who were on active service in the North West in 1885 were entitled to a grant of 320 acres of land, and Emerson is listed as having claimed his entitlement.
