THE ROYAL VICTORIAN ORDER, M.V.O., MEMBER’S 4TH CLASS BREAST BADGE, SILVERGILT AND ENAMEL, THE REVERSE OFFICIALLY NUMBERED ‘1579’, IN COLLINGWOOD, LONDON, CASE OF ISSUE, DEFENSE MEDAL 1939/45, CORONATION MEDAL 1953, SPECIAL CONSTABULARY LONG SERVICE G.VI ‘ SUB. INSPR. KENNETH R.E. TAYLOR’, the last three mounted as worn. With corresponding set of miniatures.

A listing from a 2007 sale gives the following information taken from a 1964 Who’s who, which suggests Taylor was further in receipt of the C.V.O.: Kenneth Roy Edlin Taylor M.V.O Solicitor for the Affairs of HM Duchy of Lancaster since 1942. He was born on 27 September 1902 at Brancaster, Norfolk and educated Lincoln College, Selwyn College, Cambridge University (BA, LLM), Exhibitioner and University Squire Law School. He served as solicitor to H.M. Duchy of Lancaster from 1942 and for Queen Elizabeth II, who was responsible for all private affairs of the Royal Family in the 1960s'.

Condition EF/GVF. Sold with his miniature group and an original letter to Taylor, dated 24 April 1946 discussing entitlement of the Defence Medal. This letter addresses Taylor as Major K R E Taylor and is from the Brigadier Secretary, County of Derbyshire Territorial Army and Air Force Association.
