9 PARA SQUADRON RE FALKLANDS GROUP TO NCO WHO FOUGHT AT MOUNT LONGDON ALONGSIDE 3 PARA

SOUTH ATLANTIC 1982 WITH ROSETTE, GSM, CLASP NORTHERN IRELAND BOTH NAMED ‘24454489 LCPL M LEATHER R.E.’ BOTH STAMPED ‘R’ FOR REPLACEMENT ISSUE, UN MEDAL FOR BOSNIA. WITH CORRESPONDING SET OF MINIATURES.

Cpl. Leather enlisted on 4th May 1977 and served around the world with the Parachute Squadron of the Royal Engineers, seeing service in Northern Ireland, Kenya, Belize and the Falklands from 26/04/82 to 10/07/82 where as a Minefield Recce Party NCO he operated in the combat zone, taking part in the assault on Mount Longdon, where he would have been attached to one of the platoons; mentioned in ‘3 Day In June’ . Discharged 2nd September 1986. Later he worked with the UN Mission in Bosnia in the late 1990`s.

The group includes a 9 Para Squadron RE Falklands certificate and two photographs. Also digital copies of Cpl. Leather`s Regular Army Service book and Army Form B6840.

Nice group to a para engineer who actually fought at Longdon but obviously priced accordingly.
