All leather pickelhaube worn by an Officer in the Prussian Army. The skull is very good with slight crazing in places. All fittings of gilded brass with cut out crown to officers plate having the standard 'RF' to the centre of the breast. This is of late WWI construction. The chin scales have all their gilding.The helmet has its correct national and State officers cockades fitted. The interior leather sweat band retains much original light tan colour with light spotting, it also has its inner artificial silk liner. The green imitation leather behind the front peak is present as is the red imitation leather on the inner side of the back peak. The inner crown of the helmet has all its original colour.
Condition is very good, some slight damage to liner and band on base of spike has a break but nothing missing and not noticeable when displayed. However is priced accordingly.
