FRENCH NAPOLEONIC WARS VETERANS ST HELENE MEDAL DOCUMENT TO PETTY OFFICER IN THE
FRENCH NAVY

Created in 1857 by Napoleon III for issue to surviving soldiers of Napoleon Bonaparte's Grande Armée (French, Belgiums, Dutch, Danish, Irish, etc..) who had served between 1792 and 1815.

The document is named ‘Seveaux Jean Etienne, ancien Contre Maître de la Marine’ and numbered; ‘148723’. Document in very old frame and is discoloured but no damage.

Jean Etienne Seveaux from Rouen was born in 1784 and served in the French Navy from 1808 to 1814. His Award document shows him as ‘Contre Maître’ which is a Petty Officer or overseer.

Quite scarce document to the Navy.
