Full medal write up
Wing rib of unknown aircraft type or nationality. Length 47cm x 10.5cm. Each side of the rib has the following inscription:
‘CRASHED FEB 20TH 1919 AT LATRACEY FRANCE RIB OF WING ONE KILLED FELL 1500 FT’
Rib almost certainly from an allied aircraft based in France in the immediate aftermath of WW1. Its not clear where Latracey is in France but its probably a misspelling of a by and allied serviceman.
