SOUTH AFRICA 1877-9, CLASP 1879 ‘1727 PTE R. WRIGHT. 91ST FOOT’.
Arriving in South Africa in March 1879, the 91st Highlanders formed part of the Eshowe relief column. Taking part in the battle of Gingindlovu, they sustained the brunt of the second desperate attack by the Zulus. During the second invasion they formed part of Crealock’s Division.
