BRITISH WAR AND VICTORY MEDAL ‘164460. PTE. 2. G.H. VERNON. R.A.F.’.

George Henry Vernon, a musician by trade, was born in Leicester on 29 December 1885 and enlisted into the Royal air Force as a Private on 7 May 1918. Service papers give his trade as a Batman and that he served in France with the R.A.F between 29 May 1918 and 14 January 1919. Entitled to the BWM/Victory, which were despatched 17 November 1921.
