Full medal write up
All insignia removed. The shoulder buttons and loops are missing, probably wartime, the eagle insignia removed also but signs of this are still visible in the stitching and one corner of the insignia. The other buttons are partially replaced, one inside wrap button missing and the inside wrap button holes stitching is very frayed from use. Silk lining in good condition. The reverse of the collar has been repaired, with a beige canvas type material. This again probably war time as this itself shows wear. Some fraying to bottom of cuffs and some small holes (noting major) and period repairs, staining and small paint? marks. Nap of cloth pretty much gone.
The tunic is period shortened, as was commonly done my personnel; the lower end was just folded over and sewn on. Tunic is small sized, size stamps and "B43" depot markings clear.
If your looking for a tunic in great condition, this isn’t it. However this is a good honest period worn Sturmgeschütz tunic showing much combat wear and displays well.
