Full medal write up
A fine collection of 120 British Line Infantry Regiments 1856-81 other ranks large and small brass tunic buttons (1 black horn and 2 white metal), together with 4 shell jacket buttons. All different, with the majority of Regiments having at least one large and one small example. Several also have the gilt wash applied to the buttons indicating for staff sergeants.
A number of Regiments duplicated but with different button designs’ ie all 120 buttons different.
Condition is excellent, the buttons mounted on a board for display but can easily be removed. A scarce group which would be hard to put together these days.
