ROYAL NAVY L.S. & G.C., V.R., NARROW SUSPENSION ‘RICHD BATE. PTE R.M.L.I. H.M.S. MIRANDA’
Richard Bate was born in Barnstaple, Devon on 10 September 1851 and attested for the Royal Marine Light Infantry at Exeter on 10 October 1870. He served on multiple ships and ashore before being discharged to pension after 21 years service on 5 February 1892. At this time he was in possession of 5 Good Conduct Badges, the Long Service medal being his only entitlement.
Condition GVF, impressed naming. Sold with copy papers.
